Friday, 15 May 2020. The KPK’s Supervisory Board has completed the Code of Ethics which will be the guidelines for basic values at The Corruption Eradication Commission. This code shall serve as both guidelines and code of conducts for KPK’s Supervisory Board, Commissioners, and employees.
There are three regulations from the Supervisory Board to be in effect starting on 4 May 2020, and they must be applied and obeyed in carrying out the duties of eradicating corruption as well as in doing conducts in the Corruption Eradication Commission.
The three regulations are KPK Supervisory Board Regulation Number 01 of 2020 concerning the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct for Corruption Eradication Commission, KPK Supervisory Board Regulation Number 02 of 2020 concerning the Enforcement of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Conduct of the Corruption Eradication Commission, and Regulations of the KPK Supervisory Board Number 03 of 2020 concerning the Procedures for Examination and Trial of Violations of the Code of Ethics and the Corruption Eradication Commission's Code of Conduct.
The overall basic values, code of ethics, and code of conducts mentioned in those regulations are aimed to both bind and shield every KPK member either in carrying out their duties or in doing general interactions. Therefore, all the works and conducts of those working in the Corruption Eradication Commission can be maintained and remain constructive anywhere and in any occasion.
The preservation of image and dignity is the main drive behind the Corruption Eradication Commission’s ability to earn and maintain the public trust in carrying out its mandate to eradicate corruption which must be accountable to the society, the nation, and God Almighty.
The Corruption Eradication Commission hopes that all the citizens can help oversee KPK’s works and conducts through continuous support, which can be done by giving suggestions and information as well as supervising the work of eradicating corruption.
