Jakarta, 4 June 2020. The Corruption Eradication Commission holds a Covid-19 rapid test at the KPK's Red and White Building. This test is carried out to prepare for the reopening of public services after the implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (LSSR) policy.

KPK Commissioner Firli Bahuri said that the rapid test was crucial to ensure that all KPK employees and all parties physically present at the KPK are confirmed to be free from Covid-19, including prisoners. Moreover, he said, up till now there are still KPK staff who have to carry out their duties in the field.

"The main duties are never delayed, this must be accompanied with our consideration to the health of all parties involved," said Firli during the opening of the Covid-19 rapid test in the internal environment of KPK.

The testing lasts for four days, namely on the 4, 5, 8 and 9 June 2020. A total of 1,972 people were scheduled to take the rapid test. This number is comprised of 1,862 KPK employees, 44 vital security personnel, 16 members of the PK Stranas Team, and 50 prisoners. In addition, the KPK also provides rapid tests for journalists carrying out daily coverage in the KPK building.

The Corruption Eradication Commission will continue to carry out its duties by adhering to mandatory health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this new period, the KPK working hours will return to normalcy, namely Monday to Friday starting from 08.00 to 17.00 and ending the week on Friday at 17.30. Another policy at this stage is that KPK implements a 50:50 system for employees' physical attendance, that is, 50% of the staff work from the office and 50% of them work from home.

When working in the office, all employees are required to comply to the implemented health protocols, namely, wearing masks, keeping adequate physical distance while sitting in the work room, meeting room, or the elevator, and diligently washing their hands with soap. The KPK has also prepared adequate work space to mitigate the potential transmission of Covid-19.
