Jakarta, 26 June 2020. Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission detains TAG, a suspect in the Sea Transportation Cooperation Case.

For investigation purpose, TAG will be detained at KPK’s C1 Detention Center for the first 20 days, from 26 June 2020 to 15 July 2020, with 14 initial days of isolation as part of the health protocol during the Covid-19 pandemic.

TAG as the Director of PT. HTK was identified as a suspect on 16 October 2019 in a sea transportation cooperation graft case following an arrest on 28 March 2019. This case involved Bowo Sidik Pangarso (a member of Indonesia’s People’s Representative Council term 2014–2019) as the recipient.

There was an indication of fee transfer from PT HTK to Bowo Sidik Pangarso with a total amount of USD 88,733 and IDR 89,449,000 from 1 November 2018 to 27 March 2019.

TAG is alleged to have violated Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of the Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 on the Amendment to the Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Indonesian Criminal Code.
