Jakarta, 23 July 2020. The Corruption Eradication Commission has received Unqualified Opinion from the Audit Board (BPK) in the Audit Report of the 2019 Central Government Financial Report. The handover of this report was held in BPK’s Main Office in Jakarta on Thursday, 23 July 2020.

KPK Commissioner Firly Bahuri said that the financial management in an institution is crucial as it is something that must be accountable to the citizens.

“In KPK, we always try to conduct evaluations in order to secure continuous improvement in our financial management as the money that we manage comes from the people’s tax money,” said Firly in the audit report handover ceremony in BPK office.

Firly added that KPK also received Unqualified Opinion status in 2018. The Unqualified Opinion received in 2019 serves a proof that KPK had made a lot of improvement in its financial management.

“This is the result of the hard work of all KPK members, and we will strive to maintain this opinion,” he said.

This event was also attended by BPK Board Member I, Hendra Susanto, accompanied by Director General of State Finance Audit I, Novy Gregory Antonius Pelenkahu, as well as Senior Advisor of State/Regional-Owned Enterprises and Other Separated State/Regional Assets Affairs, Novian Herodwijanto.

“For those who have received the Unqualified Opinion, please keep working hard to maintain it, and for those who haven’t, please keep striving for it”, said Hendra.

He believed that this was an achievement to be proud of and to be appreciated since Unqualified Opinion was not a gift from BPK, but the result of all the hard works done by every member of the Ministries and Institutions present at the event in managing and being accountable for the state finance they managed.

BPK hoped that any existing flaws would receive the attention of all leaders of the Ministries and Institutions present at the event and be addressed in accordance with the applicable regulations. This is necessary to maintain the good opinion given by BPK in the following year financial report. In addition, BPK has also given awards to several work units that have followed up the BPK’s findings during the auditing process.
