Anticorruption campaign must keep on going even though the pandemic is still ravaging the country. Partnerships must keep being established so that the spirit of anticorruption can spread among people from various social backgrounds.

Through its Directorate of Education and Public Service and Public Relations Bureau, KPK is distributing various materials for anticorruption campaign through several partner state-owned enterprises, such as Garuda Indonesia, Kereta Api Indonesia (Indonesian Railways), Telkomsel, ANTARA News Agency, RRI (Radio of the Republic of Indonesia), and TVRI (Television of the Republic of Indonesia).

Giri Suprapdiono, KPK’s Director of Education and Public Service, said that the purpose of the distribution of anticorruption campaign materials is to instill the values of anticorruption integrity in all members of the society. KPK’s nine values of anticorruption integrity consist of honesty, compassion, self-reliance, discipline, responsibility, courage, modesty, fairness, and perseverance.

People can access films produced for Anti-corruption Film Festival (AccFest) via Maxstream video application for free, starting from 3 June 2020. Films and public service announcements are also provided as part of in-flight entertainment in Garuda Indonesia’s aircrafts and are played on long-distance trains by PT KAI (Indonesian Railways).

ANTARA News Agency is cooperating with KPK’s Public Relations Bureau which operates KanalKPK (KPK’s media channel), enabling KPK to take part in ANTARA TV programs offered to all subscribers of ANTARA News Agency. Teguh Priyanto, ANTARA TV’s Managing Editor, said that Kanal TV’s programs are quite diverse, so they can reach people from different age groups. The said programs include programs for young viewers, such as “Sahabat Pemberani” (“Brave Friends”) and “Kanal Dongeng” (“Fairytale Channel”) and programs with discussion contents designed for more mature viewers.

“Anticorruption messages are disseminated not only through serious contents such as discussion programs or special reports, but also through creative contents such as Kanal Gesik,” he said when asked about ANTARA’s interest in cooperating with KPK.

According to him, ANTARA as a news agency always opens rooms for education against corruption and dissemination of information on such matters. Considering the fact that television is still the best medium for delivering messages to the general public due to its audiovisual nature, he is optimistic that these cooperative programs between KanalTV and ANTARA TV will be beneficial for all of their audience.
