For the purpose of investigating allegations of corruption related bribery corruption to obtain RAPBD Legalization Jambi Province Budget Year 2018, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detains four suspects.

The suspects are SPO (Member of Jambi Provincial DPRD 2014-2019), ERM (Plt of Jambi Provincial Secretary), ARN (Head of PUPR Service Office of Jambi Province), and SAI (Assistant Area 3 of Jambi Province).

They were held for the next 20 days starting today (29/11) in three different detention centers. SAI and ARN were detained in Detention House of Klas 1 Jakarta Timur KPK Branch, ERM in Detention House KPK Building Lot Building C1, and SPO at Pomdam Jaya Guntur Detention Center.

The four suspects were secured in a hand-catch by the KPK team in Jambi and Jakarta on Tuesday (28/11). The suspect of SPO as a member of the Jambi Provincial Legislative Assembly was allegedly receiving a gift or pledge of 400 million rupiah related to the approval of the Regional Budget Revenue (RAPBD) of Fiscal Year 2018.

The money is allegedly intended for DPRD members willing to attend for the ratification of RAPBD Jambi Province Fiscal Year 2018.

Previously allegedly a number of DPRD members planned not to attend the ratification meeting RAPBD 2018 because there is no guarantee from the Provincial Government.

For its actions, the SPO is suspected of violating Article 12 point a or b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) to-1 of the Criminal Code.

The other three suspects, namely ERM, ARN, and SAI are suspected to be allegedly violating Article 5 paragraph 1 sub-paragraph a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 2001 Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) to-1 of the Criminal Code.
