Thursday, 16 July 2020. The Corruption Eradication Commission handed over assets in the form of land worth Rp 36.9 billion to the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning. The handover process of the assets took place at the office of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/ National Land Authority.

KPK Deputy Commissioner Alexander Marwata handed the assets over directly to the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, Sofyan Djalil.

Alexander Marwata said that this handover is the efforts to maximize the use of state assets, which constitutes part of asset recovery.

“This is a part of KPK’s duties in handling cases, namely the tracking that leads up to asset recovery. That way, the recovery of state finance can be maximized,” said Alexander Marwata.

The handed over assets, in the form of land located in Jakarta and Madiun, are seized assets from two different cases.

The first land asset, located at Jalan Paso Rt.005 Rw.04 Jagakarsa Sub-District, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta with a land area of ​​3,201 square meters, is worth Rp26,883,599,000. This asset was seized from the graft convict Djoko Susilo.

After being handed over, this asset will be transformed into DKI Jakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning.

The other piece of land, worth Rp10,054,766,000, is located at Jalan Sikatan No. 6 Nambangan Lor Sub-District, Mangunharjo District, Madiun, East Java Province, with a land area of 4,002 square meters, and 2 buildings constructed thereon with the areas of 320.5 square meters and 148.5 square meters respectively. These assets were seized from the graft convict Bambang Irianto.

After being handed over, it will be transformed into Madiun Regional Office of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning.
