Jakarta, 10 September 2020 - The Corruption Eradication Commission has detained the suspect HTS (the Head of the Procurement and Development Division of the Subang Regency Civil Service Agency in 2012-2016) for 20 days from 10 September 2020 to 29 September 2020. HTS is detained at the Class I detention center, East Jakarta, KPK branch at the Pomdam Jaya Guntur detention center.
The KPK named HTS as a suspect on 30 September 2019. HTS is suspected of receiving gratuities together with Ojang Sohandi as the Regent of Subang Regency for the 2013-2018 period. HTS allegedly received gratuities in the form of money from the CPNS K2 source candidates from 2012 to 2015 on the orders of the OS Regent worth a total of Rp20 billion. Then, the money was allegedly distributed by HTS to various parties.
For this act, HTS and OS, the Regent of Subang for the period 2013-2018, were suspected of violating Article 12B of Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 on the Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Receiving gratuities is an act that violates the oath of office of a Regional Head. The Regional Head is clearly prohibited from engaging in corruption, collusion, nepotism and accepting money, goods and/or services from other parties influencing the decisions or actions that will be taken. This act seriously damages the sense of justice and trust of the community. For this reason, the Corruption Eradication Commission reminds all regional heads to uphold their promises and oaths as regional heads by not engaging in corrupt practices and behavior with their authority.
